Responsibilities
  • Project Cost Control Setup and Structure: Develop and implement a comprehensive project cost control framework and system architecture, including cost breakdown structure, recognition standards, and interfaces with procurement, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Operative Cost Control and Forecasting: Manage day-to-day project cost tracking and variance analysis across the full CAPEX budget. Produce accurate monthly cost reports with relevant commentary and insights for key stakeholders. Lead cost forecasting processes and secure alignment with project scope and schedule. Ensure data integrity in project ERP or cost management tools.
  • Financial Cooperation with Key Suppliers: Establish robust financial reporting interfaces with key suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate progress reports, invoices, forecasts, and cost breakdowns, resolving discrepancies, and supporting joint reviews and audits to maintain transparency and financial discipline.
  • Contingency Management: Maintain and track contingency reserve usage, ensuring clear allocation, justification, and reporting, analyze cost exposures, assess contingency needs, and coordinate with project leadership and risk management for contingency allocation.
  • Financial Integration with Risk and Schedule Management: Collaborate closely with scheduling and risk management teams to ensure time-risk-cost integration. Analyze schedule delays, risk exposure, and scenario impacts from a financial standpoint.
  • Change Order and Claim Cost Impact Analysis: Analyze and support procurement in assessing financial impacts of change orders, claims, and variations. Track and report on all approved and pending change orders.
  • Project Governance and Support: Prepare cost inputs for internal and external project steering groups and support project audit readiness.
