JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Cost Controller to oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of construction projects. You will play a key role in supporting the project team with cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and financial goals are met.

Key Responsibilities: Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets in coordination with project managers and estimators.
  • Track actual project costs against budgeted costs.
  • Identify and analyze cost variances; provide early warnings and recommendations.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and earned value analysis (EVA).
  • Generate periodic cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Forecast final project cost (Estimate at Completion - EAC).

Procurement & Invoicing

  • Verify and track costs from subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Support invoice processing and reconciliation with procurement and finance teams.
  • Evaluate and track change orders and their budget impact.

Tools & Systems

  • Use software such as Excel, Primavera P6, SAP, Oracle, or Procore for cost management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for audits and reviews.

Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and site personnel.
  • Assist in contract administration, risk assessment, and financial audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project lifecycle, and financial principles.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and cost control software (Primavera, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
