KML JOB DESCRIPTION

KML is a UK-based integrated marine contractor with our own fleet, assets and labour force. With a heritage and portfolio in specialist and general merchant vessel operations, marine civil contracting and Tidal / Wave Energy Converter installations, operations and maintenance, the company has ambitious plans for growth in all three of these subsectors.
KML specialises in shoreline, coastal and offshore marine services with a wealth of amphibious and heavy lifting experience ranging from marine renewable energy construction projects to project cargo, marine civil engineering, subsea and salvage operations and many more offshore and specialist marine services.

Responsibilities

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key responsibilities of this role are, but not inclusive:
· Accurate completion of paperwork (reviewing DPRs and transferring the data into the cost tracker)
· Transfer of data between systems (i.e. Sage data into the cost tracker)
· Pay good attention to detail.
· Evaluating Purchase orders.
· Completing Project Costs to Complete,
· Ensuring Cost trackers are updated daily and reconciled back to the purchase orders, project reports and DPRs
· Supporting and working with the Project Co-Ordinators and other project team members, with any queries and information required.

IN ORDER FOR YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

Previous experience of working within a busy project-based company, including hands-on experience in data entry roles historically.
AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
Recent (last 12-18 months) experience of working in a functioning project-led company,
Ability to communicate effectively, explaining information in simple, easy-to-understand ways both verbally and visually.
Keen attention to detail
Strong Excel skills (being able to perform complex formulas (hlookups, Sumifs, Vlookups, etc)
Ability to work autonomously, but possesses strong team skills.
Have a basic understanding of accounting terminology and transactional accounting treatments.
History/exposure to Cost accounting theory/methods,
