Please note all candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a minimum of a Baseline AGSVA security clearance to be considered. This role will require you to obtain and maintain a NV1 AGSVA security clearance. We're looking for a highly motivated and passionate Project Defence Technician to join the GBS Field Services Team. This is a 12-month fixed term position with a view to permanency, it is onsite and based in Canberra. Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to: Working on the customers ICT equipment that includes Defence's Juniper ICT network, wireless technology, Skype of business voice and video conferencing Managing workload within the customers services management tool to meet SLA's Working individually or with other teams to resolve incidents within SLA's Working individually or with other teams to deliver service requests that meet the customers' requirements within SLA's Updating documentation during changes to maintain accuracy of the ICT environment Enough about us, let's talk about you. To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following: Hold a minimum of Baseline AGSVA security clearance. Knowledge on data networks and products such as but not limited to Juniper and Cisco. Experience in voice technology IP and analogue SFB. Experience with passive ICT copper and fibre. Demonstrated skills in VTC Highly skilled in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Responsibilities
The technician will manage and resolve incidents and service requests for Defence's ICT equipment, including network and voice systems. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of the ICT environment while meeting service level agreements.
