RK&K is currently hiring an experienced leader in Structural Engineering to support existing clients and support the development of new clients and efforts in South Carolina. As a senior member of our South Carolina team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation, primarily focused on project across South Carolina, both current and new service areas. You should have state SCDOT experience, be highly proactive, able to develop creative technical solutions, have a strong understanding of structural operations and hands-on experience with bridge design and field operations. Essential Function * Assist with leading the structural design and engineering group in new pursuits with development and delivery of structural assignments * Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload * Provide Senior level structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project * Serve as Project/Program and Contractual Manager on a variety of structure related projects * Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans * Direct project staff and sub-consultants * Serve as liaison between client and firm * Execute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design work * Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field Required Skills and Experience * Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering * Fifteen (15) + years of bridge design experience * Excellent communication skills including proposal development * South Carolina Professional Engineer (P.E.) license * Experience with SCDOT, state and local government agencies Preferred Skills and Experience * Masters degree in Structural Engineering Other Duties This job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA).
