WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Project Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the delivery of engineering work packages via our design supply chain and will form the key engineering and technical interface between the customer, internal engineering staff and supply chain partners. This role presents a chance to work in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment across a broad portfolio of challenging engineering work packages.

  • Working with a variety of stakeholders to develop requirements.
  • Definition of work scopes for delivery in the supply chain.
  • Influencing supplier selection.
  • Technical support, oversight and direction to our design suppliers.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with our internal customers and supply chain partners.
  • Maintaining high level plans and progress reporting at relevant forums.
  • Design support to manufacturing queries.

  • Design Engineer with Project and Supplier Management experience
  • Have a broad understanding of first principles in mechanical engineering and design practices including stress calculations
  • Background in a complex, safety critical engineering environment (Nuclear, Rail, Oil and Gas, Petrochem, Capital machinery)
  • Understand design and technical governance processes.
  • Possess good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Be qualified to at least degree level in a relevant (engineering) discipline
