Compensation: $85,000 - $125,000 Salary; Commensurate to Skills and Experience.
Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm; some travel required.

Position Description
Maas Energy Works (MEW) are seeking a Project Manager with an Engineering background or Engineer with an entrepreneurial and strategic experience, to join MEW’s Advanced Development team. This individual will play a pivotal role, blending hands-on technical expertise with sophisticated project management skills to drive the next generation of agricultural waste-to-energy systems.
This role will work at the intersection of technology and leadership—overseeing complex technical projects from initial concept through full-scale deployment. This position collaborates closely with the commercial team to identify and pilot advanced solutions, ensuring seamless execution and measurable results. The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and the ability to translate innovative ideas into practical applications that fuel the company’s continued growth. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing new and custom projects from concept through implementation, with oversight of design and deployment of innovative solutions for agricultural waste-to-energy systems.
  • Support the Advanced Development team through mentorship, sharing of expertise, and encouragement of professional growth among engineers and technical staff.
  • Facilitate and participate in regular team meetings and cross-functional sessions to track progress, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment with company objectives and industry trends.
  • Assist in piloting advanced solutions and guiding projects to on-time, high-quality completion, while advocating for new technology platforms and business models.
  • Represent advanced development projects in company strategy sessions and contribute to external forums as a technical resource and advocate for group initiatives.
  • Promote continuous learning and improvement by supporting both individual and collective development within the team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated excellence and advanced expertise in Microsoft Suite Services (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint), including extensive use of Excel for complex data analysis, dashboards, and engineering modeling; creation of high-impact presentations and technical documentation using PowerPoint and Word; collaboration and project management via Teams and SharePoint.
  • Engineering Systems Acumen: Deep, hands-on understanding of a wide array of engineering principles and systems, with a strong ability to conceptualize, design, and troubleshoot integrated solutions across mechanical, electrical, process, and control domains. Formal engineering degree not required, but a proven ability to engage in systems thinking, root cause analysis, and process optimization at an advanced level is essential.

Industry Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a relevant field such as renewable energy, environmental engineering, or sustainable technology, including comprehensive project lifecycle management from feasibility studies and conceptual design through commissioning and operations. Familiarity with integrated energy systems, process optimization, and applicable regulatory frameworks is strongly preferred.

  • Technical Leadership: Strong track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary technical teams in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for agricultural waste-to-energy projects. Experience in mentoring, coaching, and fostering professional growth among engineers and technical staff, with a focus on both individual development and team synergy.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional capacity for analyzing complex technical challenges, synthesizing data from diverse sources, and delivering actionable solutions that optimize system performance, cost, and sustainability. Familiarity with industry best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with proficiency in translating technical concepts for audiences across varying levels of expertise and facilitating cross-functional collaboration in high-stakes settings.
