Description

We are partnering with a listed construction company to hire a seasoned Project Director / Senior Leadership professional . The successful candidate will lead and oversee key engineering projects, manage Singapore-based resources, and enhance corporate public relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, including risk assessment, resource allocation, and contingency planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, architects, contractors) to resolve technical challenges and optimize workflows.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies (e.g., BCA, HDB), clients, and industry partners to secure project approvals and bids.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with Singapore’s building codes and safety regulations.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and public events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage procurement of materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to sustainability practices .
  • Oversee site inspections, safety audits, and quality control processes to meet international standards (e.g., BIM, PPVC) .
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 initiatives, including energy-efficient designs and circular economy principles .
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, particularly in high-growth sectors like healthcare, hospitality, and urban redevelopment .
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors, leveraging industry insights to secure competitive advantages .

Job Requirements:

  • achelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Singapore’s construction industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects valued at SGD 5M or more.
  • Well-versed in BCA Green Mark Certification standards and BIM workflows.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Primavera, MS Project) and CAD software (such as Revit and AutoCAD).
  • Solid understanding of Singapore’s public procurement and tendering processes.
