YOUR OPPORTUNITY

CPB Contractors are currently seeking a Project Director to lead a large-scale EPC Contract for a leading blue chip Iron Ore Client, you will be responsible for the overall project delivery including engineering, procurement and construction to safety, time, cost, quality and compliance dimensions. The role demands a strong focus on leadership to achieve required outcomes of the work group and the promotion of high-performance standards in accordance with the CPB Contractors values and team behaviours.

Responsibilities

AS PROJECT DIRECTOR, YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Managing the effective set-up, delivery, and completion of assigned projects
  • Providing leadership and professional development for your team
  • Managing and monitoring the completion of projects to ensure programme, budget, quality, environmental and contractual obligations are achieved and taking prompt corrective action where required
  • Effectively manage the handover process to the client
  • Reviewing and authorising construction plans, schedules, temporary works designs, method statements and Safe Work Method Statements
  • Monitoring project progress against the programme and budget
  • Preparing accurate project reports
  • Providing leadership and guidance to estimating and bid teams for assigned key target opportunities.
  • Effectively assigning tasks to project team members to deliver the required outputs to agreed specifications
  • Ensuring the project is adequately resourced to deliver project requirements in the with the programme and contractual agreements
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with resource and energy clients underpinning commercial outcomes and business growth.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management are preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Director in Civil or SMPE&I Construction with a Tier 1 contractor between $200M and $500M
  • Management skills to lead a team of people to deliver quality projects on time, for the best cost and with no safety incidents
  • Strong commercial focus / business acumen
