Role description: In this role, you will direct and manage the delivery of complex projects, leading project teams and maintaining strong relationships with senior client stakeholders to agree project objectives, communicate status, and resolve issues and risks. You will negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure effective project delivery, while working closely with operational department leaders to secure support for programme implementation and embed changes into business as usual. Ultimately, you are responsible for ensuring all work and outputs are executed to meet business plans and organisational goals. Role accountabilities: This role is responsible for leading an operational team to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects within agreed budgets, typically £100m or more. Key responsibilities include setting project objectives, managing performance, and ensuring staff have the necessary skills and support. The role involves translating business objectives into operational and financial targets, preparing business cases and delivery plans, and establishing control mechanisms to assure successful outcomes. It requires monitoring team and project performance, upholding organisational policies, ensuring contract compliance, and providing strategic advice to both clients and internal stakeholders. Additionally, the role is accountable for fostering collaboration, driving process improvements, and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including the senior leadership team and project managers, to ensure commercial viability, customer satisfaction, and alignment with organisational objectives.
