ABOUT US

Fillmore Construction is a leading general contractor, delivering high-quality commercial, institutional, and industrial projects throughout Western Canada since 1991. With a strong reputation for integrity, innovation, and client satisfaction, we take pride in fostering a collaborative and growth-focused workplace where people stay and thrive.
As our Western Canada operations continue to scale, we’re seeking a Project Director in Edmonton to lead a portfolio of complex, multi-site projects - across retail, grocery, institutional, and industrial sectors. You bring executive-level leadership, deep technical acumen, and a strategic, commercial mindset to drive safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance from preconstruction through closeout.
To support your application, please ensure your resume highlights your project-specific experience. If this is not explicitly identified, we require a supplemental list of projects you have worked on, including your role, scope, and project value.

YOUR KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12–15+ years in commercial construction with progressive leadership (Senior PM/Project Director level) delivering complex, fast-paced projects.
  • Diploma/degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (P.Eng., PQS, or Gold Seal an asset).
  • Track record of portfolio P&L ownership, margin protection, and successful risk management.
  • Extensive insurance, bonding, and contract knowledge and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; calm under pressure and decisive.
  • A proactive, solution-driven mindset with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the region, depending on project requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects from preconstruction through closeout; set delivery strategy, KPIs, and portfolio targets for safety, schedule, cost, cash flow, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and coach Senior PMs/PMs/Coordinators; set clear expectations and promote a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Manage project risk, quality, and safety by proactively identifying risks, champion safety leadership, and enforce quality standards and contractual compliance across all projects.
  • Partner with our Pre-Construction team on pursuits and key account management.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence across the project operations team - coaching best practices, enabling knowledge sharing and peer reviews, and driving consistent execution and continuous improvement from preconstruction through closeout.
