This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the city’s most significant infrastructure portfolios. As Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of a high-profile capital works program. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive project performance, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Lead Project Delivery: Oversee the execution of a major capital plan, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes. Strategic Oversight: Provide leadership in project and program management, ensuring alignment with client goals and organisational standards. Team Leadership: Inspire and manage high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency. Contract & Commercial Management: Oversee procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial performance. Schedule & Risk Management: Ensure robust planning, scheduling, and risk mitigation strategies are in place and effectively managed. Business Development: Support growth initiatives and contribute to the development of new business opportunities. Capability Building: Mentor and develop internal teams to strengthen delivery capability across the business. Qualifications We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a passion for delivering impactful infrastructure projects. Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure project delivery. Educational Background: Degree-qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Local Expertise: Must have full Australian working rights and be currently residing in Australia. Client Engagement: Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and clients. Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated experience in implementing growth strategies tailored to local market conditions. Leadership Excellence: Strong leadership and team development capabilities. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, including report and bid writing.
