Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: Parsons is Anticipating Project Director Rail Systems in Dublin. In this role you will be responsible for driving relationships, performance and morale within their team and the Project Delivery Partner. The Project Director will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with the Project Company’s representative and is responsible for providing leadership and direction in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. Managing risks, developing key stakeholder relationships, and establishing robust and agile governance across the delivery team. What You'll Be Doing: Act as the client’s representative for the contract and primary interface with the Project Company and Independent Certifier. Define, monitor, and manage delivery milestones, capital payments, and KPIs to ensure controlled, assured delivery. Track progress with the Project Company and Independent Certifier, identifying and resolving issues early. Coordinate with client directorates, partners, and internal teams to align with program objectives and processes. Ensure compliance with governance, applying sound judgment and seeking independent assurance where required. Escalate key risks and issues to the client’s Project Director and maintain alignment with client priorities and strategy. Drive continuous improvement and lean approaches to reduce cost and optimize program contingency. Deliver outcomes within the approved control baseline, managing resources across project controls, design, and support teams. Challenge forecasts and information from the Project Company and/or Delivery Partner where appropriate. Lead a strong safety culture and support effective stakeholder management and communications. Perform additional duties as required within the scope of the role. What Required Skills You'll Bring: 15+ years’ program delivery experience, including 10+ years in senior roles on large, complex infrastructure programs, with specific Rail Systems experience for Heavy Rail, Metro or Tram, and DBFOM contracts. Minimum Level 9 degree (or equivalent) in engineering, construction, or project management. Full lifecycle experience (inception to completion) on complex, high-value rail/metro projects. Proven track record in documenting and applying best practice delivery, policies, and standards. Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing improvements in process, guidance, and reporting. Senior-level experience delivering integrated design to enable infrastructure delivery. Deep knowledge of capital project and program delivery in complex environments. Strong leadership across project, procurement, contract, financial, and change management. Excellent planning, governance, and delivery skills with clear goal and responsibility setting. Strong understanding of design and delivery for technically complex rail/engineering projects. Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams and teams to drive efficient outputs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style. Proven ability to govern, drive outcomes, and resolve risks and issues. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Strong stakeholder negotiation and influence over design decision-making. Highly motivated, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to balance detail with a holistic view and manage client expectations. Able to work effectively both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
