Responsibilities

THE ROLE

You will work as part of the senior leadership team of Property Commercialisation & Insights. The purpose of the team is to add value to our clients’ real estate assets and to deliver innovation to accelerate the delivery of property enhancements. Aligned with this, the main function of the role is twofold. Firstly, you will have primary responsibility for growing the PC&I consultancy offering to clients within the PC&I strategy, expanding our consultancy services into adjacent high footfall captive audience markets. Secondly, you will have shared responsibility for the delivery of services to clients in new sectors with the expectation that a new team will be built around you.
You will be integral to expanding and diversifying our current business, by nurturing and developing long term relationships with key clients and professionals to build a sustainable consulting pipeline and position PC&I to secure new and repeat consulting business in the target sectors. The role reports into PC&I’s Delivery Director and will involve close collaboration with the Commercial Director and other members of the senior leadership team. Nationwide travel will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the growth of the PC&I Consultancy business working with colleagues and the Amey Business Development team to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Lead the delivery of PC&I Consultancy projects working with the established team
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell / cross sell other services into client organisations as appropriate
  • Consulting client contract management to ensure client satisfaction with the service and performance delivered by PC&I
  • Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with Amey Key Processes and Safety Responsibility Statements
  • Ensure all work undertaken complies with the relevant guidelines and practice notes of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (PC&I is regulated by RICS)
  • Identify new markets and customers to expand and diversify the business
  • Support the Delivery Director, Commercial Director and the SLT in setting business unit market strategy and annual business planning in line with financial targets
  • Seeks out and develop new strategic business opportunities in line with the business strategy
  • Deliver pipeline and orderbook growth, developing a strong list of pipeline opportunities and converting them into new projects
  • Ability to lead and win formal bids, within an established bidding process.
  • Sole responsibility for planning, project managing and delivering consulting projects with the team’s support.
  • Develop and manage key client relationships, acting as the face of PC&I
  • Understand and analyse competitor information
