The role will collaborate with various stakeholders, executive leadership & Plant Staff, to ensure regional operations is aligned with industry best practices and environmental & sustainability goals.   Main Responsibilities Energy Strategy Development: Drive Energy Roadmap (including power production, sourcing of renewable energies, fuel switch, etc.) aligned with the organizations’ long-term sustainability targets and industry-leading practices.                                                                         Efficiencies and conservation: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency across all Nemak MEX plants and implement measures to optimize energy usage worldwide.                   Energy performance: Establish and track KPIs to evaluate energy consumption trends, identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.                     Emissions management: Develop and implement energy strategies to minimize carbon emissions. Work on long term reduction scenarios in scope and support of the net zero strategy. Support and evaluate the net zero implementation on plant level focusing on decarbonization targets.                                                                                                       Innovation: Evaluation of key technologies against long term decarbonization strategy and advice on emerging energy technologies and industry specific trends. Exploring innovative solutions to optimize energy usage, replacement of fossil fuels by alternative technologies and optimizing emission and energy footprint as well as to reduce costs.                                           Sustainability CAPEX: Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop energy budgets, conduct financial analysis of energy projects, and ensure cost-effective energy management strategies.                                        Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, local Operations, Maintenance & HSE managers and external partners to foster collaboration. Share best practices and support energy initiatives.  Reporting: Manage the utility data management system. Prepare regular reports to executive leadership, communicating progress on energy management initiatives, achievements and future plants.        Contribute to ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ASI management systems through process standardization.                                                                                                                                                                                                         . Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability. 3 years of strong knowledge in Energy Management, Energy Efficiency Technologies (Preferably aluminum, foundry) – Energy Efficiency Technologies (Preferably aluminum, foundry) Certifications: ISO Leader – Auditor, GHG Protocol, Legal requirements expert.                        Technical knowledge: ISO 14001 Expert, ISO 50001 Expert- Energy & Emissions Management. Mexican Environmental Regulations both at Federal and State levels. Expertise in water, energy, and waste.
