JOB TITLE: Project Engineer FLSA STATUS: Exempt JOB TYPE: Full-time DEPARTMENT: Engineering-650 REPORTS TO: Chief Innovation Officer   JOB SUMMARY The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of complex and large-scale projects, such as designing, developing, testing, and implementing systems, products, or processes.   PRIMARY FUNCTIONS * DESIGN/PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT 1. Designs parts using SolidWorks 2024 for sheet metal, tubing, wire and injection molded plastic. 2. Prototypes parts using a 3D printer and alternate rapid methods. 3. Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties. 4. Evaluates test data for validity and resolution or improvements on specific projects. 5. Inspects and reviews incoming first article parts. 6. Manages multiple large-scale projects with cross-functional development teams. 7. Develops electro-mechanical devices such as blowers. 8. Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 9. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests. 10. Collaborates with Project Engineers for proper allocation and tracking resources. 11. Creates designs in accordance with company regulations and client standards and values. 12. Analyzes problems that may arise during the manufacturing process and recommends solutions. * MANUFACTURING SUPPORT 1. Tiered BOM creation and maintenance 2. Creates work instructions for assembly of machines 3. Tests protocol development and maintenance 4. Generates print packages for release to the manufacturing team 5. Supports product release in manufacturing * SALES SUPPORT 1. Answers technical questions for the Sales team with regard to application engineering support 2. Writes and reviews sale specifications for quotations 3. Addresses customers concerns and provides resolutions * MARKETING SUPPORT 1. Generates technical bulletins for new products and enhancements 2. Creates and reviews operating manuals * GENERAL 1. Follows all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures. 2. Performs job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels. 3. Other duties as assigned.   SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS   1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering, or a related field. 2. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering. 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and associated applications including Solid Works, Simplify 3D, Revit 4. Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent understanding of mathematics. 5. Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation. 6. High level of professionalism accompanied with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 7. Must have excellent time management skills, being able to prioritize multiple priorities at one time. 8. Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written. 9. Ability to work independently and as a team member.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. 2.
