Applied Lubrication Technology Inc. (ALT) is a growing company that sells, installs and services automatic lubrication systems and bulk fluid handling systems from our head office in Mono Ontario. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Project Engineer. This key position within our organization requires a multifaceted, team-oriented individual with advanced technical knowledge.
Job Duties of the Project Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and participate in projects from conceptual design through implementation, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for projects.
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and machinery to meet specific project requirements.
- Create manufacturing drawings, specifications and guidelines for production and construct prototype of designs.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Meeting with project clients, performing site survey’s to assess their needs and define project requirements, acceptance criteria and project timelines. Prepare customer quotations.
- Be the liaison between the project team and project clients throughout the project life cycle.
- Monitoring the daily progress of all projects.
- Ensuring equipment installation as per the project specifications through hands-on approach.
- Testing of complete systems and repairing any deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Perform routine inspections and predictive maintenance on mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to restore equipment functionality.
- Keep management and the Lead Technician informed of current and projected status of all projects and work tasks you have been assigned.
- Collaborate and lead projects to improve manufacturing processes and systems
- Ensure work product is to ALT’s standards
The position is based out of our office in Mono, ON however; the chosen applicant will be responsible for installations and service across North America. There will be required travel within Canada and USA.
Experience and Skills:
- Product design (3 – 5 years of diversified design experience) or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum of 3 years of direct work experience in project coordination in the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, self starter and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
