Work at Australia’s Largest Yoghurt Facility Shape High‑Impact Capital Projects Contribute to a High‑Performing, Safety‑First Project Environment The Role Reporting to the Manager, Project Engineering, this role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering capital projects that support the Morwell Capital Plan. You will oversee all stages of project execution—ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required engineering, safety, and quality standards. You will also provide technical engineering support, manage project budgets, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams across the site. Our Morwell site is located about 150km east of Melbourne, manufacturing a large range of products in yoghurt and dairy desserts including brands such as Farmers Union, Dairy Farmers and Yoplait. Operating 24 hours a day, six days a week across 9 lines the site is highly automated and is the largest yoghurt facility in Australia. Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital projects, including scope development, stakeholder engagement, and project close‑out. Provide technical engineering support such as feasibility assessments, risk reviews, and approval of technical documentation. Manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reporting to ensure cost‑effective and compliant outcomes. Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance through regular inspections, corrective actions, and strong collaboration with production, safety, and quality teams. Drive effective communication, reporting, and continuous improvement to enhance project performance and operational efficiency. About You Tertiary qualification in Engineering, with 3–5 years’ experience in project engineering or project management within the food manufacturing industry; dairy or beverage processing experience is highly regarded. Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to deliver capital projects successfully. Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in the Office 365 suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across operational teams. A commitment to safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, with the ability to influence stakeholders and contribute to a high‑performing project environment.
