As a result of our ongoing growth and success, Crossmuller is seeking an experienced, hands-on, site-based Project Engineer to lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects in Victoria. The successful applicant must have a strong industrial automation and controls background but be confident leading a multi-disciplinary project team through the development, installation and commissioning phases of both large and small projects across different industries.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Hold a relevant Engineering qualification in Mechatronics, Computer Systems, Software or similar (or show equivalent demonstrated experience in industry)
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in delivering engineering projects, preferably either infrastructure or manufacturing related.
Be confident on various PLC and SCADA platforms and related industrial and process automation concepts.
Have demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer applications including MS Office
Software development experience will be highly regarded.
Strong numeric, technical, and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Experience in Industrial/Process Automation will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Be a key member of our bid team during the tendering phase on local projects.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop design specifications, select equipment and instrumentation, and take designs from the conceptual stage through implementation to installation and commissioning.
Coordinate and lead a project delivery team, working with project managers and engineers to resolve design issues, schedule constraints and commercial challenges to ensure project success.
Formulate implementation plans for complex critical equipment installations and cutovers.
Be the “go-to” during site installation of electrical, controls and automation equipment, solving design challenges as they arise and coordinating staff to ensure delivery to schedule, budget, and quality.
