Catalyx is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and work on our customer site in Limerick.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • 2-3 years Electrical/Mechanical machine build/support experience.
  • Previous Installation and Qualification of machinery and equipment in customer sites.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Experience in technical writing including but not limited to validation protocols and associated test plans.
  • Interpret, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, technical drawings and specifications.
  • Continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working on own initiative and can work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service focus with ability to interact confidently and professionally with system end users/customers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • PC literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word MS Project.
  • Full clean driving license.

As part of this commitment, we are continuously developing our on-site teams to support the advancement of customer operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for, installation and commissioning of new equipment which includes the execution and documentation of IQ, OQ, PQ (Installation, Operation and Performance Qualification) for systems supported by the business.
  • Train and support customer operators technical personnel on the Generations systems.
  • Service and maintain systems installed at customer sites.
  • Repair and test electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment associated with our product offering.
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment associated with the Generations continuous improvement program.
  • Actively participate in cross functional team meetings and risk assessments (e.g. FMEA) in order to develop validation strategies.
  • Actively participate in areas such as 6S, lean principles, GMP/GDP within the team.
  • Support value engineering projects by developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Work closely with other departments and external service providers to maintain and enhance equipment performance so business targets are met.
  • Update equipment operating/maintenance procedures in line with GDP.
  • Ensure all company equipment is properly maintained and in good working order at all times throughout its lifecycle.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental guidelines.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by manager.
