Description Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a talented Civil Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group at our Denver, Colorado office. This role offers a unique opportunity for both construction services and utility design for our Program Management and Municipality groups. The role encompasses all stages of projects from initial project development through engineering design, bidding, construction management and final project closeout. Services may span across all of Martin/Martin’s Civil department including infrastructure (municipal, state and national parks, water/wastewater treatment), site development (healthcare, multifamily, commercial, education), residential developments and more. The Team Our civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, including leading projects such as the 16th Street Mall redesign in Denver. Responsibilities Coordinates our work with in-house teams and other firm’s project teams Develops, monitors, and manages work plans, schedules, and design budgets Keeps clients satisfied and developing a skillset to address client management problems Opens projects, establishes budgets, and submits information to accounting team. Follows project close out process Manages engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to complete projects Manages small to medium projects or portions of large projects Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors Participates in production and technical committees or other special projects to advance the company’s goals Other duties as assigned Requirements Required Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Ability to work in the Denver area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function. Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects Completed a minimum of 6 months as a Professional Engineer Desired Successfully managed multiple projects and followed them from start of design to completion of construction Effective at communicating and working with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues Meets quality and financial goals Has taught a minimum of one technical class Shows strong commitment to continued professional development Participating member of at least one professional and/or technical society Active on at least one company committee Improves production tools for the betterment of the company Demonstrates skill and a positive attitude in completing difficult assignments Demonstrates willingness to take on additional work and responsibility 18 months experience as a Professional Engineer Successfully managed multiple projects and followed them from project development, through all design phases, to construction completion and closeout. Preferred Demonstrates strong field observation and written documentation skills CDOT direct or Local Agency experience CDOT Construction Inspection, Erosion Control, and/or Traffic Control certifications Hold and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license Working Conditions, Skills, and Abilities This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required: Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites Remain stationary for long periods of time Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder Identify color Read, communicate, and document in English Determine and exchange accurate information Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Compensation The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Base Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $86,000 to $102,500 annually. Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process. Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program. Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
