DESCRIPTION:
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our Northern Territory operations on a FIFO 2/1 roster. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects, providing strong exposure to civil and environmental engineering in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
What you’ll be doing
Delivering civil and environmental projects from planning through to completion
Preparing and reviewing work packages, including methodology, risk assessments, and specifications
Coordinating daily activities with clients, subcontractors, and site teams to keep projects on track
Monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules, and producing accurate reporting for stakeholders
Leading site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to uphold safety and quality standards
Identifying risks early and implementing practical solutions to keep projects running smoothly
Managing procurement processes and coordinating materials, plant, and subcontractor resources
Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements
Supporting tender submissions and assisting with project forecasting and cost control
Problem-solving on the ground, making decisions that prioritise safety, efficiency, and client outcomes
Providing technical support, mentoring, and guidance to project and site teams
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
What we’re looking for
Civil Engineering degree (or related discipline)
Solid background in civil remediation, demolition, or environmental works
Strong project management and organisational skills
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
A natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Valid driver’s licence
FIFO Experience
