Essential Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a civil engineering role.
  • Proficient in using design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, in particular excel.
  • Full Driving Licence
Responsibilities

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Project Engineer (Civils) will oversee the planning, design, an execution of civil engineering projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist project manager in all duties required to safely, compliantly and profitably manage the daily operations.
  • Scheduling engineering projects and monitoring project delivery.
  • Managing compliance with quality assurance policies, standards, and project specifications.
  • Lead the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Receive price from suppliers and raise purchase orders in ERP system, receipt good and consumed goods on week bases for the project.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and other stake holder, monitor projects budgets and programmes.
  • Operations supervision and management, management of sub-contractors.
  • Assist in day-to-day management of key client contacts, completing project reports and keeping clients up to date as operations progress.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Specify, procure and manage plant and machinery and equipment
  • Good report writing skills, proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project ) and AutoCAD, ERP system.
  • Preparation and co-ordination of civil & structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Ability to understand Health and Safety requirements and adhering to company H&S standards.
  • Occasional travel to and from work sites
  • On-site quality auditing and recording as-built information;
  • Processing of survey and site investigation information;
  • Preparation of calculations and drawings;
  • Preparation of material specifications.
