Russo Development is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Project Team in all phases of project delivery. This position will be based out of one of our development sites in Northern NJ Position Responsibilities: Assist Project Management and Site Superintendent team with daily tasks as required Review plans and other technical documents to become familiar with project trade disciplines and project specific construction process. Assist PM in the development of cost estimates from time to time. Monitor costs and project progress and assist in monthly subcontractor AIA billing processes including compliance documentation tracking. Maintain control of all project documentation. Create, manage and track RFI’s and keep Project Management team and Site Superintendent informed on critical long lead and task dependent information. Maintain/update project records. Assist the project manager/superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule. Assist project team in getting building permits for the project. Understand appropriate building codes/regulations. Coordinate project change-order management, creation and negotiation. Conduct and document weekly project team’s meetings/decisions. Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination. Assist the project team with closeout of the project. Requirements BS Degree in Construction management or equivalent. Extensive experience with Microsoft Project, Procore and Excel. Work well within a team. Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines. Self-motivated and proactive.
