ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in CRCP to join our dynamic TBM team on the Spark North East Link Project.
Your primary responsibilities will include the coordination of on-site engineering functions including management of Site Engineers for the CRCP components of the project, with a multi-million dollar portfolio of work. You will be responsible for managing the CRCP sections of the project and a team to achieve time and budget objectives and provide efficient support for construction activities.

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary
  • All coordination of 6.5km if dual carriageway CRCP works on the project
  • Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangements
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work
  • Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved
  • Ensure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget. Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawings

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Project Engineer and operational experience is desirable with a minimum of 7+ years in Construction
  • Understanding of the Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, Specifically TfNSW Q6 and Project Quality Plan (PQP) development and implementation.
  • Experience in delivery high quality outcomes in construction of PCP and/or CRCP pavement using TfNSW R82/R83 Pavement Base or equivalent TMR CRC Pavement Base Specifications
  • Experience in TfNSW R93 Pavement Grinding
  • Effective time management skills
  • Proven experience cost planning and forecasting
  • Experience in managing Site Engineers
