Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Engineer in ACT to work on The Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) project .

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

• Build and maintain schedules for engineering activities, coordinating team resources and tasking to support project success
• Lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders to optimise resource use, advance tasks, and support informed decision-making
• Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines, including Cyber and Safety Working Groups and Major Systems Reviews
• Oversee governance processes such as risk management, configuration control, design certification, assurance, and internal surveillance

Review and improve engineering contract deliverables and project artefacts, while communicating risks, issues, and progress to leadership
