Position: Project Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA - Onsite Required

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Project Engineer capable of supporting both on-going and emerging federal defense and commercial contracts. Desired work location is Irvine, CA. This position requires experience in executing federal research and development (R&D) contract. This position requires a person that can both develop process and work within defined procedures, to include government requirements. The successful candidate must have experience interfacing with a wide range of internal disciplines, customers, and active subcontractors. Specific demonstrated experience in project financials tracking, data and hardware deliverable management, and subcontractor management is desired. The successful candidate will have a background with experience in projects in the Government or Defense Contracting Industry This position will be involved with UAV products such as Leap, Ultra and Grasshopper, as well as newly designed UAV’s.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and technicians in defense or aerospace industries
• Minimum of 1 - 5 years of industry experience as directly supporting or leading project execution of design and development programs
  Clearance Level Required: No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired
  Travel: Not required for daily activities, but probable travel once per quarter

• Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others
• Ability to follow and help execute technical schedules
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient organizational and documentation skills
• Working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Professional Suite
