We serve major agencies like the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to provide strategic, technical, and analytical expertise that drives operational excellence and cost efficiency.
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in support of WMATA’s Wayside Work Planning (WWPL) division. This role offers the opportunity to shape processes, improve infrastructure reliability, and directly contribute to safe, efficient transit operations that impact millions of daily riders.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in a related field, of which two (2) years shall be in the transportation industry
  • Associate degree in business, finance, construction management, or related field.
  • Ability to read and understand WMATA rail service maps, power diagrams and train operations, power switching orders, and power outage tags
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365® full suite of applications, including Visio® and Adobe Acrobat® to create drawings and maps
  • Experience with rail construction or maintenance; and
  • Familiarity with WMATA standard processes and procedures.
    Job Types: Full-time, Contract
    Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic, analytical support to develop and implement new department work processes

and facilitate change management processes.

  • Build tools and processes to enable data-driven decision making to achieve core missions of Safety and Fiscal Responsibility
  • Analyze opportunities to create efficiencies and cost savings through WWPL and decision making; and
  • Prepare quarterly executive and board level updates on WWPL initiatives and preventive maintenance programs to assure transparency and accountability for annual plans.
