Ferrycarrig have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team.


The successful candidate will be working on a Civil Infrastructure project based in the Sydney Region.

Ferrycarrig has made a significant contribution to some of Sydney's largest and most significant infrastructure projects delivered in recent years, including Sydney Light Rail, Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Metro, Western Sydney Airport, and the New Sydney Fish Markets.


What you will be doing

  • Provide engineering support to the Project Manager to deliver Civil and Utility projects across Water/Wastewater sector or Electrical Energy sector.
  • Manage technical issues, monitor quality, oversight of hold points and coordinate handover and commissioning of works packages.
  • Work with project teams to ensure resources are planned and utilised effectively and that a safe system of work is maintained on site.
  • Prepare daily and weekly production reporting.
  • Assisting with project execution planning and scheduling, ensuring that programme and contract requirements are met.
  • Ensure key project deliverables of cost, time and quality are met.
  • Build relationships with other staff in the company and with the client teams.


Is this job for me

  • Be degree qualified in Civil Engineering
  • You need to have at least 3 years of working experience in construction with a minimum of 1 years' experience delivering Water and/or Transport Infrastructure in the NSW market.
  • Effective time management, problem-solving, analytical thinking, organisational and communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
