About Us
At Foresite Construction, we specialise in Tier 3 commercial builds across retail/hospitality, industrial and early education. Our business is built on the expertise, professionalism and the forward-thinking approach of our team members and is backed by leaders with over 50 years of combined industry expertise. Our goal is to establish ourselves as an industry leader in SE QLD by delivering excellence on every project. We focus on commercial design and construct projects valued up to $12M, providing early contractor involvement, procurement and project delivery from concept to completion.
The Opportunity
As a Project Engineer you will report to the Commercial Manager, and provide project engineering, technical coordination and construction planning support to deliver the company’s projects safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality requirements, budgets and programmes.
This is a permanent position (subject to a 6-month probationary period) for an autonomous worker who is also a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate architectural and civil designs into coordinated construction work packages and rapidly resolve RFI's.
- Oversee site establishment, earthworks, and structural interfaces, ensuring alignment with geotechnical and design specifications.
- Prepare complete technical scopes of work, evaluate supplier proposals, and ensure trades are mobilised to meet the construction schedule.
- Track work package budgets, conduct accurate quantity take-offs, contribute to project estimates and cash-flow forecasts, and assess the commercial and programming impacts of proposed design changes.
- Provide technical constructability, methodology, and estimating input during the tender phase to help secure new projects.
- Assess the technical scope, quantities and programme implications of proposed variations, and prepare supporting estimates and recommendations.
- Review subcontractor variation submissions for scope, quantities and consistency with the relevant design changes or site instructions.
- Act as the primary technical bridge between the Project Manager, site teams, clients, architects, and external consultants.
- Drive practical completion by coordinating final testing, managing defect rectification, and compiling comprehensive as-built documentation.
About You
We are looking for an adaptive, experienced professional who can adapt to the demands of Tier 3 construction environments.
