Description

Future Fabricating is an AISC certified commercial ornamental fabrication company. We provide unique and specialized fabricated items needed to complete a variety of architectural and infrastructure projects. Our team of skilled craftsmen specialize in building some of the Mid-West’s most interesting ornamental architectural metal products for bridges, buildings, and streetscapes out of a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless.
Position Summary: The Fabrication Project Engineer position will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, budgets, and timelines

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Track all new and ongoing projects on the Engineering Board assigned to you
  • Review job timeline (with Program Manager) for internal schedule of job turnover to each department
  • CAD detailing submittals and fabrication drawings assigned for checking
  • Field measuring or outsourcing measuring scheduled
  • Interaction and communication between team members for internal job review and assessment
  • Interaction and communication with customers for lead times and schedule information, once rough time scheduled with customer meeting with the project manager for final hard schedule date to be sent out to customer.
  • Meet established dates on the board

Qualifications / Education:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with blueprint reading Preferred
