Project Engineer – Reinforcement Steel, Civil & Concrete

Global Steel Australia – Penrith, NSW | Full-time | $120k–$150k + super

Global Steel is a growing reinforcement steel processing and supply business based in Penrith, now expanding into civil and concrete services. We're looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to help run projects from quote through to delivery and grow with us across all three divisions.

Key responsibilities

- Read and interpret structural and civil drawings; prepare and check reo schedules and bar bending schedules

- Quantity take-offs, estimating and quoting for reo supply, civil and concrete works

- Coordinate production, delivery and installation schedules with the factory, logistics and site teams

- Liaise with builders, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on RFIs, variations and design changes

- Track project costs, margins and progress claims

- Attend site meetings and inspections; manage quality, compliance and WHS documentation

- Support business development and tendering for new civil and concrete work

About you

- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management (or working towards one with relevant experience)

- 2+ years in reinforcement steel, concrete, civil or construction

- Strong drawing-reading skills; detailing software experience (e.g. aSa, RebarCAD, Revit) is a big plus

- Organised, a clear communicator, and comfortable juggling multiple projects

- Current driver's licence and White Card
