ABOUT YOU

In order to make this role a success, we are looking for a qualified Project Engineer ideally with a few years’ experience in delivering Capital, Industrial, or Automation projects.

Specifically, some of the experiences and skillsets we are looking for include:

  • An Engineering qualification (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation) is a must; a qualification in Project Management would be highly beneficial
  • Experience with Project Organization, cost estimation and scheduling. Familiar with Scope of Work documents & Technical Performance specifications
  • Hygienic design and Safety in Design during Installation and Commissioning experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience with AutoCAD for 2D layouts and P&IDs
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Project Engineer to join our Group Engineering team at our Quality Bakers site in Auckland - New Zealand’s largest plant bakery - in supporting capital upgrade projects.

In order to achieve this, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain strict scope controls to protect the project capital cost and scheduling of KPIs
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders with written updates and site project meetings
  • Support with procurement including tender, bid evaluation, pre-award and award, including contract management through supply, installation and commission
  • Oversee Scope of Work, Technical Performance Specifications and cost estimation
