JOB DESCRIPTION:   PROJECT ENGINEER SUMMARY:   As a Project Engineer, you report to Project Management.   Responsibilities include supporting most aspects of the project management team; supporting project information flow; coordinating and monitoring delivery of materials, and equipment; managing submittals, RFIs, and project documents; and ensuring that the completed project meets the quality standards of the project owner and Guido Construction.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  (other duties may be required) * Develop and maintain submittal, RFI, and constraint logs.  Expedite submittals on a daily   basis * Distribute project documents and drawings * Assist in project documentation and information flow * Ensure correct setup and maintenance of filing system under direction of team leadership * Photograph jobsite areas on a daily basis. Ensure proper labeling and archiving of photos * Assist project team with preparation and documentation of project   meetings * Assist in Last Planner and other Lean processes * Assist with change orders and obtain information for pricing for Project Manager * Ensure timely arrival of project materials to jobsite. Take inventory (at time of delivery) and account for any expedited materials * Gather information from contractors and develop operation and maintenance manuals * Manage project closeout including warranties, O&M, and punch list(s) * Assist with facilitation of subcontractor coordination/communication * Assist superintendent to resolve field construction issues * Provide input for Monthly Progress Reports, in coordination with Project Management and Superintendent * Promote and enforce company safety culture and policies  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Construction Management or Business-related field.  Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working commercial construction projects is required. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:   * Proficient with Microsoft Office and with job costing software. * Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications. * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle pressure in a fast-paced project environment * Forward thinking with strong initiative, intelligent and accurate research, and practical problem solving   LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement, but is preferred.    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  OSHA 10 minimum required; 30 preferred.  PMP Certification a plus, but not required.
