Description
Evaluate product requirements and carry out feasibility study. Evaluate product development schedule and lead progress through tool start to production Issue product specifications, product & tool BOM. Provide cost-feature trade-off directions and determine tooling optimization Manage model makers to develop engineering prototypes and tool makers to build tools Propose mechanical designs and electronic solutions Liaise with multi-disciplinary team members, global colleagues, inland or overseas vendors Evaluate engineering pilot samples and provide modification directions On-site review on initial production line setup for inland or overseas manufacturing vendors Design for manufacturing and automation Minimum 4 years of work experience in product engineering, ideally in toy and entertainment industry, is preferable. A solid individual contributor in his/her professional field Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering Knowledge of toy regulations and standards He/she will be an important part of driving the success of the team's daily operation Occasionally, he/she will be required to make operational decisions to ensure daily operation is efficient and effective Fast learner with a passion for continuous learning and expanding his/her technical skills is essential Strong teamwork capability, be able to cooperate with colleagues from different background, department and levels Showing potential or ideally some relevant experience in coaching others, e.g. leading best practice, acting as escalation point, sharing experience and information Respects the process and company's practices while not afraid to challenge the status quo Showing potential or ideally some relevant experience in leading and managing a project Excellent partnership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-evolving environment Strong presentation and interpersonal skills Innovative, passionate, initiative and adaptive
