Description
French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer for our Highway/Traffic department in Boston, MA. Responsibilities * Prepare and oversee roadway and highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates * Perform geometric design, grading, drainage coordination, and maintenance of traffic plans * Coordinate with internal disciplines including civil/site, traffic, structural, environmental, and utility teams * Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables * Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers and designers * Attend client meetings and coordinate with public agencies including state agencies, counties, and municipalities * Ensure compliance with state and federal design standards and procedures * Support proposal preparation and business development efforts as needed Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field * 4-8 years of progressive highway/roadway design experience * Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts * Experience working on county and/or municipal projects, including those that are state or federally funded * Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D * Strong knowledge of AASHTO and MassDOT roadway design standards * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment   Benefits   We understand that a fulfilling career is about more than just the work you do – it’s about feeling secure in your health, confident in your financial future, and balanced in your personal and professional life.
