MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Internship or prior experience in a construction or engineering role.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
  • Familiarity with local Arizona construction codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Project Engineer I plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects from inception through completion. This position involves coordinating technical aspects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and facilitating communication between project stakeholders. The Project Engineer I will assist in managing schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to dynamic project environments. Ultimately, the Project Engineer I contributes to delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction in the Arizona region.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with the project manager and team to maximize productivity and in a timely manner
  • Create and manage contracts and SOWs (discuss process and streamline)
  • Support submittal process
  • In charge of close out manuals and warranty books
  • Make sure all contracts, SOWs, COIs, etc. are being turned around in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate efforts within the team and with outside consultants (architects, engineers, owner’s reps) efficiently
  • Participate in weekly updates with directors of operations on PM status log
  • Track and update job cost files with contract and PO status
  • Follows up with project managers on missing requirements from them and the subcontractors

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of project plans, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, and report status updates to senior engineers and project managers.
  • Support quality control and safety compliance by conducting site inspections and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including change orders, meeting minutes, and correspondence, to support project transparency and accountability.
