We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (I/II) - Water/Wastewater to help serve our connection of clients and community. The projected range of compensation in Illinois for this job is $70,000 - $80,000. Your Primary Responsibilities will include Assist in the planning, design, and analysis of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and specifications under guidance from senior engineers. Perform hydraulic modeling for water distribution and sewer collection systems. Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and occasional construction observation. Support project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate project design elements. Review design standards, regulatory requirements, and permitting needs. Participate in client and internal project meetings; communicate technical information clearly. Support quality control processes and ensure adherence to company and industry standards. What you'll need Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field. EI/EIT certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months; PE track preferred. 0–4 years of experience in water/wastewater design, permitting, or construction support. Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, SWMM, etc.). Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D; experience with BIM/Revit is a plus. Basic understanding of pump systems, process equipment, and utility design. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
