Project Engineer (PE) Position Summary Imperial Construction is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) to support the successful delivery of our commercial construction projects. This position works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward—both in the field and behind the scenes. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where you’ll be involved in the day-to-day flow of the job. From managing submittals and RFIs to supporting billing, coordination, and project closeout, project documentation, progress tracking quality, you’ll help ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers with project documentation and reporting Manage and track submittals, RFIs and assist with drafting meeting agendas and capturing meeting minutes Maintain accurate and organized project records. Create and maintain project data within company systems (including Procore, and internal network files) Coordinate and communicate daily with subcontractors, vendors, your assigned project team and agencies Support Superintendents with jobsite needs, logistics, and documentation as required Help facilitate weekly construction meeting minutes and distribute updates to the project team Track project progress through photos, punch lists, and closeout documentation Help ensure compliance with project requirements, including labor postings and site-specific documentation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience 3–5 years of experience in construction or a related role preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and interpret construction documents and project requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, , Blue Beam, Microsoft Project or P6.) is a plus Valid driver’s license required Preferred Experience Experience working on commercial construction projects Familiarity with subcontractor coordination and project documentation workflows Experience supporting multiple project stakeholders (owners, architects, subcontractors) Working knowledge of project management/accounting systems/document flow Work Environment / Physical Requirements Work is performed both in an office setting and on active construction job sites.
