PROJECT ENGINEER – PULP & PAPER

Location: New Brunswick, Canada
We are seeking a Project Engineer with strong experience in the pulp & paper industry to join a well-established industrial manufacturing operation in New Brunswick. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced mill environment, driving capital projects, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver on critical operational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (P.Eng. or EIT considered an asset)
• Experience in the pulp & paper sector or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong technical background in mill systems, equipment, and reliability practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, practical approach

• Lead and execute capital and reliability projects within the mill, from concept through to commissioning
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedules while ensuring safety and environmental compliance
• Provide engineering support to operations and maintenance teams to improve reliability and production efficiency
• Conduct technical evaluations, prepare design specifications, and oversee contractor/vendor performance
• Collaborate across departments to ensure projects align with business priorities and operational needs
