JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer is responsible for project engineering and delivery. Ranging from operations, design, site works and product development projects. The Project engineer will lead a cross functional team in support of each project. This opportunity is for a fast growing, small company where you can make a big impact. The team will be local and remote and may include global sites. A Project engineer will be assigned multiple projects of various sizes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ Years of recent experience in Project engineering
  • 5+ Years of recent experience in EC&I design OR installation & Commissioning
  • Hazardous area design, ATEX (Compex EX12 desirable, not required)
  • 3+ Years of recent experience within the Gas utilities industry
  • Knowledge of design approval and appraisal process within the gas utilities industry

TRAVEL & WORK ARRANGEMENTS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Mostly site based, 10% travel – local and potential for some international
Responsibilities
  • Manage the design process for Engineer to Order (ETO) and modular system designs.
  • Accountable for clearly defining and executing on the project objectives - establish plans for how the project will manage scope, time, communications, budget, quality, stakeholders, human resources, risk, and procurements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, scope statements, WBSs, etc., to manage the project and keep all stakeholders aligned.
  • Assemble a project team that has the competencies and capacity to deliver the project output - use contracted employees and consultants as needed.
  • Work with sales during the bid process and then take ownership of the project after the sale is made.
  • Organize and manage the communications and information flow within the project to internal and external projects.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders in support of the project and make decisions to move the project forward and resolve challenges - escalate issues as needed.
  • Improve the organization through creating best practices and lessons learned.
