Description Paid Summer Internship, Hourly Company Background: ABEC has been a leading supplier to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry for over 50 years. ABEC’s products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, comprehensive site services, bioreactors and fermenters, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilization systems. Company Background: This position provides an individual real word experience developing the foundation and architecture of a database for a critical function of ABEC’s business and manufacturing process. The candidate will be responsible for interviewing key stakeholders to form a project charter. They will then apply their engineering skills to create proposed solutions and present those concepts to leadership. Once a solution is selected, the candidate will need to drive the solution in a beta phase. The candidate will be responsible for collecting, managing, and converting data into information that can be interpreted and visualized in the form of a dashboard. Responsibilities: Actively seek out, identify, and evaluate database solutions for key metric tracking. Responsible for designing and implementing the database and dashboards. Document and report all alternatives result and analysis with clear conclusions that support changes and improvements. Manage time efficiently. Adhere to all company policies (Safety, Human Resources, IT, or other). Execute other tasks as assigned. Requirements Obtaining bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering). Previous experience with attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, teamwork, and analyzing information. Ability to organize work and engage in a variety of tasks. Ability to work in a professional team-based office environment and meet date-driven customer-focused commitments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Work ethic that exudes integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
Responsibilities
The intern will develop the foundation and architecture of a critical business database by interviewing stakeholders to form a project charter and proposing engineering solutions. Following solution selection, the candidate will drive the solution through a beta phase, managing and converting data into interpretable dashboards.
