POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in diverse construction projects and to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience as project engineer or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with pre-construction, scope development and cost estimating.
  • Experience with commercial construction projects.
  • 10-Hr OSHA Training (Obtain 30-Hr within the first 6 months as part of hiring orientation)

Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and daily reports.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Support cost tracking and forecasting efforts; assist in reviewing invoices and managing procurement processes. Assist with monthly owner billing.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist the Superintendent in implementing and maintaining the on-site safety program, including safety inspections and MSDS manual.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site inspections to assess progress, identify issues, and support field teams when requested.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Work with Superintendent and Project Manager to identify potential risks and issues early. Propose effective solutions to keep projects on track
  • Technology Integration: Support the implementation and use of construction technology tools to enhance project efficiency and data accuracy
