DESCRIPTION:

The opportunity
We are seeking a Project Engineer to become an integral part of JK William’s Project Team, working closely with the Project Managers, Site Supervisors and other construction personnel, demonstrating sophistication and a talent for project management, project administration, resources and material utilisation.
This role offers the right candidate a great opportunity to fast-track to progress into a Project Management role.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

About you
We are seeking a candidate with progressive thinking, demonstrated commercial success and robust project administration capabilities. A rigor and discipline for converting project programs into solid and well-organised site activities are also essential.
Formal engineering qualifications are vital, as is having worked in a similar civil construction business and capacity.
A flair and capacity for multi-tasking is critical, as is an appreciation of the significance of client care practices. It requires a sound WHS, Environment, and Quality aptitude with an appetite for compliance with various forms of legislation and regulations impacting the industry today.
You must be able to assist with meeting and responding to company goals and objectives. Demonstrate sound judgment and acumen with the ability to provide analysis and insight through the capture of data drawn.

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong commercial aptitude.
  • Project and contract administration in a Construction environment.
  • Resources management & utilization.
  • Aptitude both in written and verbal form.
  • Problem solving - deductive reasoning & analytical thinking.
  • Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
  • WHS - Quality & Process Improvement Management.
  • Functional capacity at the client and project level.
  • Report preparation and interpretation.
