Introduction:

About Us

For over 65 years, JK Williams has been more than a civil contractor — we’ve been builders of communities, forgers of lasting relationships, and dedicated to establishing a legacy of excellence across Australia’s east coast.

As a proud family-owned business, we know that our greatest asset isn’t the machinery we operate or the infrastructure we deliver — it’s our people. The dedication, expertise, and commitment of our team is what has made us a recognised leader in civil construction and infrastructure, known for innovation, quality, and integrity.

Our rich history hasn’t just shaped who we are — it’s positioned us for an exciting future. And we want the right people alongside us for the journey.

Description:

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll play a key role supporting the coordination, planning, and scheduling of daily project activities. This is a great opportunity for someone studying towards or who has recently completed a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or related discipline) to build hands-on experience across project management, administration, and reporting in a supportive, hands-on team environment. What You'll Be Doing

  • Support Project Manager(s) with the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil construction projects
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and month-end reporting
  • Maintain project documentation, registers, day diaries, and contract administration records
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to support project outcomes
  • Prepare and process variations, purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, invoices, and progress claims
  • Contribute to safety, quality, environmental, and compliance requirements, ensuring project documentation remains up to date
  • Provide general project and administrative support across the business while participating in ongoing training and professional development

Skills and Experiences:

What You'll Bring

  • Current Driver's Licence (Class C)
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering (completed)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid planning, organising, and problem-solving ability, with confidence reading and interpreting plans
  • Working knowledge of OHS, Quality, and Environmental systems
  • Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Project — experience with IFS software is a plus
