The role involves end-to-end site execution, vendor coordination, documentation, and customer handover within quality, safety, and timeline parameters. Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning (I&C) Execute installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment (chillers, pumps, AHUs, VRF/VRV, ducting, piping, valves) as per OEM standards. Install and commission IBMS systems including CCTV, Access Control (ACS), Fire Alarm, and BMS panels, field devices, controllers, HMIs, and networking. Perform pre-commissioning checks, loop checks, interlock/logic verification, I/O testing, and parameters tuning. Conduct system integration between HVAC controls and BMS; ensure alarm/event logs, trends, graphics, and reports are configured and validated. Lead Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), performance tests, and customer demonstrations. Project Execution & Coordination Read and interpret IFC drawings, P&IDs, schematics, cable schedules, and control logic diagrams; raise RFIs for discrepancies. Plan daily/weekly site activities, manpower allocation, and progress tracking; ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Coordinate with clients, consultants, OEMs, subcontractors, and internal teams for material availability, inspections, and approvals. Ensure compliance with HSE norms, site permits, method statements, and risk assessments. Documentation & Handover Prepare and maintain I&C checklists, method statements, test reports, calibration records, and as-built drawings. Develop O&M manuals, training materials, asset lists, and spare parts recommendations. Support billing documentation: measurement sheets, work completion notes, and client sign-offs. Provide post-commissioning support during DLP/warranty and stabilize system performance. Must-Have Skills & Experience 6 years of hands-on experience in installation & commissioning of HVAC and IBMS systems. Proven exposure to Chillers, AHUs, pumps, valves, ducting/piping, and HVAC controls. Practical experience with CCTV (IP/analog), NVR/VMS, ACS (controllers, readers, locks), and BMS/SCADA integrations. Working knowledge of field instruments (sensors, actuators, VFDs), control panels, and low-voltage cabling (CAT6/FO, RS485, BACnet/Modbus). Proficiency in testing tools (multimeter, manometer, flow meter, clamp meter) and basic networking for IBMS devices. Ability to read technical drawings and control logic, and use common tools (AutoCAD for markups preferred). Strong site coordination, vendor management, and client handling. Good-to-Have (Preferred) Basic programming/parameterization of BMS/DDC controllers and VFDs. Experience with OEM platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider, Delta, Niagara). Knowledge of fire alarm systems (addressable panels, detector loops). Exposure to green building/energy efficiency practices and commissioning protocols. Education & Certifications Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline. Safety certifications (First Aid, L2 HSE, or equivalent) are an advantage. OEM certifications (BMS/HVAC/IBMS) preferred. Behavioral Competencies Ownership mindset with a hands-on approach at site. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management. Ability to work under tight timelines and shifting priorities. Work Conditions Travel: Frequent local travel within Ahmedabad and nearby project sites. Shifts: Day shift; flexibility for extended hours/weekends during commissioning milestones.
