LIGHTING PROJECT ENGINEER

Are you a technically skilled and motivated Lighting Technical Engineer with a passion for delivering innovative lighting solutions? EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Electronics Engineering , or a related field (Polytechnic graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Lighting Project Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in the Lighting or Electrical industry is essential.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Fundamental understanding of lighting systems, including LED technology , control protocols (DALI, DMX) , and circuitry .
• Practical experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Lighting Technical Engineer to assist in designing, planning, and executing lighting projects. You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver efficient, high-quality lighting solutions that meet performance standards and client expectations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical challenges, and contributing to cutting-edge projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design & Planning
· Develop detailed lighting designs, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.
· Assist in preparing and revising Bills of Quantities and Bills of Materials based on project requirements and feedback.
Technical Support
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to LED drivers, control systems (DALI, DMX), wiring configurations, and other electrical components.
· Provide pre-programming support for controllers and drivers used in projects.
· Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning to ensure compliance with performance standards and specifications.
Project Coordination
· Support the Product and Sales teams with Lighting Control System Design and BOQ preparation.
· Handle product faults (RMA) and coordinate with the product team for timely resolution.
· Conduct on-site technical meetings, supervision, and testing as required.
· Coordinate assembly processes and special product testing to ensure quality and functionality.
Documentation
· Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, progress reports, and technical specifications.
Collaboration
· Work closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
· Provide technical expertise and support during all project phases, from planning to installation and commissioning.
