Project Engineer – Lifecycle Engineering Position Overview The Project Engineer will support portfolio governance and drive strategic projects within the Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) organization. This position offers hands-on experience in project management and portfolio governance processes, while contributing to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and innovation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, results focused and adaptable engineer who enjoys technical projects, working across diverse teams and contributing to the successful delivery of initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate across functions to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop project leadership skills in a dynamic, regulated environment. Some of the responsibilities will be project planning and tracking, cross functional task coordination, meeting scheduling, follow up as needed to ensure project stays on track. They will also be expected to identify and escalate risks, issues and engage stakeholders to support timely resolution and maintain momentum. This individual should be capable of navigating complex project landscapes and aligning diverse teams toward shared goals. Key Responsibilities o Support in the development and maintenance of project governance frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools. o Track project status, risks, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with portfolio objectives. o Lead or support projects that improve workflows, compliance, and efficiency. o Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams. o Interface with external suppliers and contract development partners to source components, and ensure DFM/DFA o Contribute to process enhancements and tool development, including digital and AI-based solutions. o Support design transfer and pilot production activities, and potentially trouble shoot issues related to manufacturability and product performance o Participate in pilot testing and feedback collection for new tools or processes. o Ensure accurate documentation of project activities and adherence to Insulet Procedures. o Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Education & Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, computer science, or related technical field and 5 years’ experience in running multiple complex projects • Interest in project management, governance, or quality systems. • Proficiency with Project management tools like Smartsheet, MS Project • Experience with Resource Management • Proficiency in a technical or regulated environment is a plus. • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI). • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Up to 20% may be required.
