SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or automation-focused engineering role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Ability to lead projects from conception to reality with a strong presence on People, Process &Equipment/Technology
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, and PLC programming.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical problems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead automation-driven process improvements within our manufacturing operations. This role will function as a project manager, overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to define project scopes, obtain bids, and drive seamless execution. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to manage change effectively.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to finalize project scopes and technical requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • They develop project plans, establish criteria, coordinate reviews, and ensure proper implementation of project elements.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor bids for equipment, services, and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, IT, and external partners to implement new technologies.
  • Oversee the integration of robotics, control systems, and other automation technologies.
  • Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure project success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with management to setup 3 to 5 year capital budget and projects
  • Ensure that projects meet quality standards and safety regulation
