Description Position Summary Litron is seeking a hands-on, customer-facing Project Engineer with clear ownership of ERP and BOM accuracy to lead and execute technical projects across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations. This role blends project ownership with direct shop-floor involvement and regular customer interaction, supporting projects from initial customer engagement through production release. The Project Engineer is accountable for ERP data integrity, accurate Bills of Materials, and production readiness while driving scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage engineering and manufacturing projects from concept through implementation. • Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal teams. • Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions. • Own and maintain ERP-related engineering data, including full responsibility for BOM creation, accuracy, structure, and release. • Develop, release, and maintain routers, work instructions, and supporting manufacturing documentation. • Ensure ERP/BOM alignment with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. • Drive production readiness by coordinating design transfer, ERP and BOM release, documentation completion, and readiness reviews. • Actively support manufacturing through hands-on shop-floor involvement and troubleshooting. • Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet technical, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. • Support new product introductions (NPI), process improvements, and equipment implementation. • Identify and mitigate risks related to quality, cost, schedule, or manufacturability. • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, and Nadcap requirements. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to ERP accuracy, documentation quality, and manufacturing efficiency. Requirements Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing or engineering experience. • Demonstrated accountability for BOMs and ERP data in a manufacturing environment. • Experience leading technical projects from concept through production release. • Customer-facing engineering experience or aptitude. • Strong manufacturing, documentation, and troubleshooting skills. • ERP experience in a production environment (Symix preferred). • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. • Strong organizational, communication, and ownership mindset. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work with small, delicate parts. Preferred Skills & Experience • New product introduction (NPI) experience. • Experience structuring multi-level BOMs for complex manufacturing processes. • Exposure to laser welding, CNC machining, plating, or electronic packaging. • Lean or continuous improvement experience. • Experience in AS9100, ISO, or Nadcap environments. Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
